What is Fineblanking and Feinforming

Fineblanking

Fineblanking is a specialized metal stamping process that creates exact and complex parts, often with smooth edges and tight tolerances. Unlike conventional stamping, fine blanking applies a combination of pressing, shearing, and clamping forces to cut materials in a single step, producing parts with enhanced quality and detail.

Feinforming

Feinforming (or fine forming) is an advanced metal-forming process used to shape complex, high-precision parts with exceptional accuracy and surface quality. It often complements fine blanking and is applied when parts require intricate geometries or precise dimensional control beyond what traditional forming methods can achieve.

Fineblanking in a new dimension

With a stroke rate of 85/min and a total force of 4,500–11,000 kN, you can fully utilize your production potential and assure yourself a decisive edge in the production process. Its modular design makes it easier to integrate into existing plant systems and simplifies spare parts management and digital production controls.

FB one Special Benefits

Energy & Environment

Environmentally friendly: the FB one hydraulic fine blanking press consumes up to 50% less energy and requires up to 40% less hydraulic oil.

Ergonomics & Connectivity

The FB one is designed with an optimal parts and waste management system, as well as an intuitive control panel. The Feinmonitoring ensures that the press is always in optimal condition.

Performance

The FB one is characterized by higher stroke rates and repetition accuracy, improved process reliability, and greater rigidity of the press mechanics.

Flexibility

Its modular design makes it adaptable – there is no longer any need for a foundation pit, making the FB one compatible with existing tools.

≤ 50% less energy consumption

The innovative drive concept consumes less energy without loss of performance. Thus, the FB one achieves higher energy efficiency.

Energy-saving waste separation

For energy-saving and process-optimized cutting of the punching grid, the waste separator module can be optimally adjusted to the punching grid. Additional pistons enable energy-saving cutting of the full strip cross-section.

Resource-efficient

The two-level press concept does not require a foundation pit. This allows a simplified setup at the production site and permits flexible and adaptable layout planning.

Efficient direct-drive technology

The hydraulic direct drive of the ram consumes significantly less energy and requires less oil. Thanks to the shorter switching times of the hydraulic components, higher stroke rates can be achieved with the best process reliability.

≤ 40% reduction in the amount of oil

The new direct drive concept enables operation with up to 40 percent less oil content in the hydraulic tank and lower air content in the oil. This leads to longer replacement intervals.

Servo-mechanical fine blanking press XFT speed

With the XFT speed fine blanking presses, we combine the advantages of hydraulics, servo technology, and mechanics to give your production a competitive advantage. High stroke rates with minimal downtimes - the guarantee for success.

Fineblanking in a new dimension

The XFT speed press series boasts both short changeover times and high stroke rates. Thanks to state-of-the-art servo-drive technology, up to 200 strokes/minute are achieved with a total force of 1,500–2,500 kN.

For forces from 1'500 kN to 2'500 kN

XFT speed Special Benefits

The highest level of output

High flexibility and performance.

Maximum process reliability

Fast reaction time prevents tool breakage.

Short changeover times

Swift tool changes enable shorter downtimes.

Long tool life

The high press rigidity enables a long tool lifespan even at high stroke rates.

Energy efficient

Save energy and reduce production costs with the XFT speed.

Machine highlights

Unique: the servo direct drive.

The direct link between the servo-motor and the bolster plate results in high dynamics in the drive system. The press can stop fast if there is a fault, significantly shortening the stopping time. At the same time, the motors rotate more slowly and achieve energy savings.

Flexible programming for productivity.

Both XFT speed press types allow simple and free programming of the movement sequences. Movements such as acceleration, braking, discharge or even intermediate stops can be freely defined. The result: You get the maximum out of a process while at the same time protecting the tools.

Sensitivity for process reliability.

The XFT speed series impresses with its sensitivity and fast reactions. The servo-mechanical drive interacts with the newly designed sensor plate and the new patented tool-installation space to significantly reduce the response time it takes to come to a standstill in case of faults or problems.

Tool changes made easy.

For energy-saving and process-optimised cutting of the punching grid, the waste separator module can be optimally adjusted to the punching grid. Additional pistons enable energy-saving cutting of the full strip cross-section.
